+As an experiment I added support for Toshiba's .zip files which contain a chmgt_type001/chmgt.db file.
+I'm not very familiar with the Toshiba model line-up, but I think this covers the models RL, SL, TL, UL, VL, WL, XL, YL of series 8xx/9xx.

+
+- turn your TV on
+- plug in your USB-stick (preferably an empty one, since data might get lost)
+- when you see "Start media-player?", you know the USB stick is recognized. Select "No" or nothing here.
+- press and release "mute" on your remote
+- press and hold "mute" on your remote
+- press the down arrow on your TV-set (not on the remote!)
+- a menu opens where you can select "TV to USB" (warning: data on the stick may get deleted)
+- after successful transfer, press the "exit" button and unplug your USB-stick
